Freo Born Rock, Roots, Singer Carus, originally making his name as part of the explosion of the roots movement alongside good friends The John Butler Trio, The Waifs, Xavier Rudd and Pete Murray, troubadour Carus Thompson has shown he’s much more than just a “good time – reggae folk-rocker” – he’s now also acknowledged as an incredibly accomplished songwriter & storyteller. Worldwide, Carus Thompson has sold over 30,000 albums independently, one of the few truly independent Australian troubadours to have a carved a full time living from his craft, years of touring have assured Thompson the enviable ability to draw hundreds of people anywhere he goes.

Kallidad is returning to Mandurah for a huge show to launch “The Odyssey,” the trio’s brand new album which contains tracks like “Senorita Margarita,” “Big Bill’s Blues,” and “The Strasbourg March. This is a ticketed event- tickets are $15 presale and $20 on the door.
Kallidad’s one of a kind “Trash Flamingo” music has seen the group rise, almost accidentally, from beachside buskers in Sydney’s Bondi, to an international headline act, with recent performances in Japan, New Zealand, Indonesia and over a dozen European nations.

There is only one Johnny Cash , always has and always will be … so this is definitely not a tribute band , The guys will be all taking turns performing their favourite Johnny Cash tunes in honour of the great man , but the Road Kill Choir will be performing in their own , upbeat , fast paced style and hollering along as the choir fill the room with beautiful harmonies . This is a free to enter show and truly is just a bunch of friends playing their favourite Johnny Cash tunes .

Sam and Josh Teskey discovered American soul music of the 1960’s via their parents’ record collection and were immediately taken. As teenagers, the two brothers jammed night after night in the bungalow behind their family home on the outskirts of Melbourne, devouring the R&B songbook and absorbing the tricks of the blues trade. In their obsession, the pair became accomplished players and soon began writing originals, a process which came naturally to them both.
